I attended Bishop Hamilton Montessori School from the beginning of CASA until the second grade. Although, it was more than a decade ago when I moved on to the Gifted Program at Mutchmor, I still have many fond memories of my time at BHMS. The teachers were very caring. Due to the small class sizes, I still remember having one-on-one time and learning new activities from my teacher periodically. I also grew close to many of my classmates, who I am still friends with to this day. I had a very happy childhood and I believe that BHS was a positive impact to my life.
The first years of a child’s life are so important and they set the motion for greater things in the future. I believe the jumpstart I was given by BHMS helped me become who I am today. In my high school years, I was greatly active within the school community. In my final year, I was head of the Sport Council, the Business Venture Club, and on Student Council Executive. Academically, I achieved a university entrance admission average of 95%+, which allowed me to receive Western’s Continuing Admission Scholarship. At my graduation, I was awarded the J. W. Neil Scholarship for my school activities and academic achievements. I now attend Western University in the Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies program. I also have AEO status to enter the Richard Ivey School of Business in third year.
During the summer of 2013, I worked for a charity called OneProsper International as a Student Engagement Manager.
As a proud BHS alumna, I would highly recommend parents to send their kids to this Montessori school. The skills that they will learn and the memories and friends that they will make will stay with them for the rest of their life.
